“How much does it cost
to use Allstar Movers”
This is the most commonly asked
question. We offer two types of service.
Hourly Rate moving service is based upon an hourly rate
(2 hour minimum) and a one time trip charge predicated
upon your pick-up and drop-off zip codes. We
normally only recommend hourly rate moves to those
customers who are unable to provide us with a list of
the items they would like moved. With an hourly
rate move the total cost is obviously calculated when
the service is completed. The second type of
service is a Guaranteed Price quote. The price for
this service will not change regardless of the length of
time that it takes. The only way it can change is
if you add additional items that you would like moved,
if your conditions change (zip codes, floor level or
pick-up, additional stop or drop-off or if the walk
distance (from where we can park to the front door) or
if your service date changes. Few intrastate
moving companies offer guaranteed price quotes.
However, we believe that whenever possible, all
customers should know what the price will be before the
job begins. Guaranteed price quote pricing varies
predicated upon the quantity and type of items and
furniture that you would like us to move for you, the
zip codes of your pick-up and drop-off locations, the
floor level at your pick-up and drop off locations. the
load and unload distance at your locations and if you
require any additional stops.
Obtaining a price quote from Allstar is
simple. In fact you have three choices:
(A) go to the “Quote”
section of this web site and complete the informational
form, (B) call our customer service
department, that is available 7 days a week (602)
943-3800 or (C) fax your information to
us at (602) 943-9803. Email and fax quote requests
are answered in less than 24 hours and phone quote
requests are provided immediately.
“What if I find extra items
or additional boxes that I need to be moved after I get
my price quote?”
This is not a problem. Simply
contact us by noon the day before your scheduled service
and we will add the items to your inventory listing and
advise you of any adjustment in your price.
Conversely, if you decide not to have certain items
moved please contact us and we will adjust your
inventory list and pricing. The day of the moving
service the movers are allowed to add additional items
at an extra charge but they are not permitted to delete
items and reduce your price.
“When is the most cost
effective time for me to move?”
Excluding holidays, the most economical
time to move is Sunday through Thursday in the middle of
the month.
“Is it cheaper for me to
rent a truck and move myself?”
When all of the
associated costs to move yourself are taken into account
it costs very little extra to use Allstar and if you
place a value on your time it is actually less expensive
to us Allstar. Please see our special price

“Is it cheaper for me to
schedule service through a broker?”
No, please remember that brokers charge
moving companies for the customer leads. This cost
is passed along to you the customer. There is no
benefit to using a middleman company when you can deal
directly with the service provider.
“I have been quoted some
very low hourly rates, why are Allstar’s rates slightly
higher and is the price difference worth
it?”
Most companies who offer extremely
low rates cannot provide you with an equitable repair
and replacement policy or insurance coverage
without charging you extra. Also, some of these
companies do not utilize full time professional movers.
Many of these companies schedule every customer that they
can and then pick and choose which jobs are the easiest
and most profitable when they prepare their
routing. Consequently, movers never arrive for some of
the customers who believe that they were scheduled
for service. Almost every day we perform “same
day service” for customers who have been “no showed” by
one of the cut rate companies. The old adage
that; “the cheapest service is not the best and the
best service is not the cheapest” holds very true in
the moving industry. Allstar’s on time arrival
rate exceeds 98% and in 10 years of business we have
never failed to arrive for a scheduled customer! We
are extremely proud of this record and we take our
